AirBaltic Achieves Record Growth and Operational Excellence in Early 2025

Latvia-based airline airBaltic has reported a period of significant growth and exceptional operational performance in early 2025. In April 2025, the carrier transported 410,138 passengers, a notable 12% increase from April 2024. Flights operated saw a 5% rise to 3,958, while the load factor improved by 1.7 percentage points to 77.8%. This surge in demand was complemented by an outstanding 99.6% flight punctuality rate across its entire network in April, underscoring airBaltic's commitment to reliable service.

Earlier in March 2025, airBaltic continued its upward trend, carrying 378,228 passengers, a 5% increase year-over-year, with a 7% rise in flight operations to 3,873. For the first quarter of 2025, airBaltic achieved a record-breaking 994,987 passengers, a strong 7.4% increase compared to the same period last year, marking its highest-ever quarterly passenger count.

To meet this rising demand, airBaltic is significantly enhancing its summer schedule. The airline will increase flight frequencies on 14 existing routes from the Baltic region and introduce several exciting new nonstop connections. These include direct flights from Tallinn to Reykjavík, Palma de Mallorca, and Tirana, as well as new services from Vilnius to Prague and Tirana. The seasonal Vilnius to Düsseldorf route will also be extended.

Currently, airBaltic operates nearly 130 routes with key hubs in Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere, and seasonally from Gran Canaria, connecting Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus. This extensive network and focus on operational excellence solidify airBaltic's position as a vital carrier in the European aviation market.
