Emirates Pioneers Autism-Friendly Travel with Global Expansion of Rehearsal Program and Autism Certification
Emirates is significantly enhancing travel accessibility for individuals with autism. The airline has become the world's first Autism Certified Airline™, with 30,000 frontline staff trained to support autistic passengers. Furthermore, its successful "travel rehearsal" program, which allows children with autism to practice the airport journey, is now being rolled out across 17 cities globally. This initiative, developed in collaboration with Dubai entities and autism centers, aims to ease travel anxieties by providing familiarity and trained support. Emirates also highlighted autism awareness throughout April with related content on its inflight entertainment system.
