About Papikondalu Tour:

Papikondalu is also known as Papi hills which are situated in the holy river Godavari in Andhra Pradesh. As everyone knows that the holy river Godavari was born in Nasik (Gomukh, Maharastra), there it is passing through so many states. finally, it is ending up in Andhra Pradesh. Before entering Andhra Pradesh we can see 3 mountains that look like giants trying to stop the Godavari. Nature lovers really like this place

According to our forefather's sayings, the name Papikondalu is the word taken from a Telugu word called (Papidikondlu),

because when we see the view of this holy river Godavari from the top of this Papikondlu it looks like a hairline (Thala lo Papidi)of a woman.

but according to our history (Puranam) when the great Saptharuhees bought Pathala Ganga down, the king of an evil kingdom named (Papi) stopped the flow of Ganga then once again the Saptharushees requested the king "Papi" to give the way then he gave small space to continue the flow of water that's what the reason Papikondalu are so close to each other.

Papikokndalu is a famous tourist attraction in Andhra Pradesh that is going to "extinct" shortly, due to a well-known dam namely the "Polvaram project "which is under construction. after the construction of the dam, there are about 250 small villages that will be drowned.

these Papikondalu are three in number, situated like a wall in the midst of holy river Godavari, it is nearly 100 KM far from Rajahmundry. in this journey we start from Polavaram and cover so many famous places like Gandipochamma temple, Perantapalli, Ramakrishna muni Vatika (Ashramam) and Veereswara Swamy Temple.

Day 1:

07:30 AM Tour starts from pickup point by road (choice of vehicles)*.

09.30 AM Reaches GandiPochamma Tribal Temple.

09:45 AM Reporting at boat control centre (Need to submit pre-approved aadhar copy)

10.00 AM Check-in Boat, cruising starts on holy river Godavari after the breakfast

10.30 AM Fun & Entertainment Programs will start

11.00 AM cruising continues via Devipatnam police station checkpoint

01.00 PM Lunch in the Boat while cruising.

02.00 PM Reaches most awaiting river destination Papikondalu. cruising between giant mountains will remains beautiful memories

03.00 PM Reaches Perantapalli Tribal Village. Visit Ramakrishna muni vatika and tribal handicrafts shopping

04.00 PM Cruising continues to the Eco-Tourism campsite

04.30 PM Reaches Campsite. and check-in stay

05.00 PM Have a Hi-Tea and Snacks and explore the Campsite. 

08.00 PM Overnight stay with the tribal dinner with bonfire*.

Day 2:

06.00 AM Local sightseeing by guided trekking to the Forest through local villages. 

09.30 AM Breakfast will be provided at the camping site. Free time for local sightseeing.

02.00 PM Check-out the campsite and have a seat in the waiting area

03.00 PM Checkin boat for return cruising
