Viking Launches Sleek New Ship 'Viking Amun' to Enhance Nile River Cruises
Viking has introduced its latest ship, the Viking Amun, to boost luxury tourism on the Nile River. The elegant vessel, featuring Scandinavian design and 41 staterooms for 82 guests, will begin its 12-day "Pharaohs & Pyramids" journeys in September 2025. This itinerary offers immersive cultural experiences, including visits to iconic sites like the Pyramids of Giza, Luxor and Karnak Temples, and Abu Simbel, alongside comfortable accommodations. The addition of Viking Amun underscores Viking's significant expansion in Egypt, with plans to operate a fleet of 12 ships by 2027.
